Stupid Cupid

Today I have a card I made for Valentine's Day. It's more of an anti-Valentine, Stupid Cupid.

I just love this funny image from Make It Crafty and couldn't wait to make a Valentine's Day card for my sister with him. The image is called Runaway Cupid and I colored it with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers (colors below).

I cut all the elements on the card in the silhouette from plain white paper. I used Mini Distress Inks (Abandoned Coral, Spun Sugar & Picked Raspberry) and the Spectrum Noir Ctystal Clear Sparkle pen to add color to them. The patterned paper is by Doodlebug Studio from a few years ago- still trying to use up that stash! I finished it off with a few dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Today I am sharing a card I made for a good friend. Her poor kitty is sick right now and she just loves her cats. So both her and the kitty need some cheering up. This image from Some Odd Girl is just perfect for the thinking of you card I wanted to make for her!

Little did I know at the time I was coloring that this was also the image chosen for the coloring contest at Kit and Clowder this weekend. What perfect timing!

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers, All of the patterned papers are from the My Funny Valentine paper pad by Pebbles. I cut the meow and the fish bone charm on the Silhouette from the CC Luxury Mirror cardstock.  I think the little fish bone is so cute!

Ninja Thanks!

Earlier this month we had a very small get together for my son's 3rd Birthday. His uncle got him a bunch of Ninja stuff- costumes, nerf darts, little sticky Ninja guys and fun stuff like that.

So, naturally, I had to make him a fun Ninja Thank You card!

I used the image Ninja Tobie from Some Odd Girl. He's so perfect for what I wanted to do with this card!

I colored Tobie with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers (colors below).  For the background of the card I just used a piece of brick patterned paper. I used the "stencil" that was left from cutting the image out on the silouette to ink a shadow on the background with Distress Ink.  I cut the THANKS out of glittered cardstock. The Ninja stars were cut from Mirror Cardstock on the Silhouette as well. And I finished it off with a few drops of Nuvo in the top corner.

Fairy Wishes

It's inspiration day at Scrapper's Delights. I'm sharing this card I made with the sweet little Ballet Fairy.

I colored her with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers- no colors this time, I misplaced my list.

I made the patterned background with a stencil and some Distress Inks. I finished with some ribbon and decided to leave a sentiment off for now. I couldn't decide what I wanted this card to be for so I'll add an appropriate sentiment once I know who I'l be sending it to.

Scrapper's Delights 3,000 Member Celebration!

Scrapper's Delights has recently reached 3,000 members in the Facebook Fan Group, We are celebrating with a little party this weekend,  Included in the celebration are some SUPER new releases - see what I did there?

This little guy is Batty Chibi. How cute is he!? There is a little version of this one as well. I just love them so much, I could not wait to get to to color him.

I colored him with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers (Color palette below).

I cut all the embellishments out on my silhouette with plain white paper, with the exception of the ring around the planet, I cut that from gold glittered cardstock.

I used distress inks on the planets and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens on the stars. I really love the effect I was able to get with the Distress Inks.

I finished it off with some glittery Nuvo Crystal Drops and adhered the image with some 3D foam squares. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and added white embossing powder.

The inside says "You're Super!". We sent this to my Aunt as a Thank You card from the kids for all the Christmas presents she brought them. She sure does spoil them! But I guess that's what Great-Aunts are for.

You can see more great projects with the new releases, and all the celebration activities at the Scrapper's Delight Facebook Group.

Hello Friend

Hey everyone! Today I have a card I made for one of the girls I used to babysit, She is all grown up now (and makes me feel SO old!). She recently joined the Air Force- SUPER PROUD of her!

I wanted to send her a little something to let her know I was thinking of her, and to brighten her mailbox.

I'm pretty sure she missed her cat so I thought this image from Some Odd Girl would be great for her card, The image is called Crazy Love Tia.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol  Markers (colors below). The patterened papers are from my stash, as is the ribbon. I printed and cut the sentiment in the Silhouette Studio.

A Bright and Cheerful Hello

Have you seen the new *mini dies from Crafter's Companion yet? They are seriously adorable! I just love these little clouds, they are so perfect. And the stitching around them adds the perfect little detail. I honestly have been looking for some cute little cloud dies for quite some time, but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. So I was thrilled when I saw these cuties show up!

I created the background with Distress Inks (I have really been having fun with those lately!). Then I just picked out a few bright papers from my scrap drawer to make the banners with. I think the white clouds really pop on the bright and colorful background.

The hello is also one of the new dies in the sets. I cut it from some pink paper and coated it with Glossy Accents to make it stand out a little more.

*The mini dies will be available soon from Crafter's Companion US

Happy Birthday

Today I am sharing a Birthday Card I made with Gifting Gwen from Some Odd Girl.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, in lots of red and pinks. I went super girly with this one. Way girlier than I intended, but the finished product is fab. It just won't work for the person I originally intended it for- she's not so girly.

The card has 3 pages to it, the front with the window cut out, the second page that has the full image on it and the inside that is blank for the sentiment and a message. I was thinking of adding a gift card holder to the second page, next to the image.

Hello Gold

I made this card after I saw a photo of someone's purse on Instagram. I was inspired by the colors and knew I wanted to use them on a card. The flowers are from the Dahlia Burst stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey.

I stamped them on Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Cardstock with VersaMark ink and added gold embossing powder. Then I colored them with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers (BT3 BT2 BT1 DG3 CG4). The background paper is from a mat stack full of gold foiled papers that I have been hoarding for a really long time!  I used a "hello" die-cut to cut the sentiment from black cardstock. I used the same black cardstock for the card base.

Hooray! Let's Celebrate!

Today we celebrated my Brother-in-Law's Birthday. I made him a really fun card with the Congrats! stamp set from Alt E New.  My husband and I love the show Always Sunny in Philadelphia, in the one episode the girl talks about how she learned all her dance moves from the wacky waving inflatable tube man. So we always joke and the wacky waving inflatable tube man.

When I showed him this stamp set he actually told me to order it. Pretty sure that't the first time that ever happened!

I have to admit, I think I had a little too much making this card. I was laughing to myself the whole time. Especially once I finished the green guy leaning in on the front. He just cracks me up.

I kept the fun going on the inside with a pop-up Happy Birthday and more inflatable guys with balloons.

I think he enjoyed his card, I know he was impressed by the pop-up and all the details on the inside.

I colored the little tube men with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers:

Yellow: TN6 GB5 GB3
Green: JG6 JG5 JG2

Merry Christmas

Happy New Year!

As I was going through my blog to pick out my favorites of 2016 I realized there were a lot of cards made last year that never made it onto the blog. I'm going to try to do better this year! So I may be posting some late Christmas cards in the next few weeks. I also want to try to make 1 Christmas each week so by the time Christmas is upon us again I'll have a nice stack of cards to send out. The last two years I made multiples of the same card and I really don't like doing that. So by making one a week I can take more time to make each card unique. Which reminds me, I haven't blogged my 2016 Christmas cards yet!

I also really want to start working on our Project Life album again. It's been almost 18 months since I last worked on it. I miss it. I love the albums I have done in the past and really want to keep them going. Making up 18 months just seems like more than I want to take on at the moment, I would like to at least start again current, and work on the gap when I have the time - so maybe in like 10 years, lol.

So, for today I have a card I made for my Secret Santa (she got a special one). I used an image from Wee Stamps, I don't know the name of the image and when I tried to go on the Wee Stamps site to find it I got Virus Malware warnings, so I got the heck out of there!

I colored the image with the new Illustrator Markers from Spectrum Noir. I love these markers, they are nice and juicy and blend so so nicely. I just wish they had released all of the colors so I didn't have to wait for the rest! I do still love my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers too, These are just one more thing for me to love and play with!

All of the papers and dies I used on this card are from Crafter's Companion. I finished the card off with some Crystal Clear Sparkle Pen, Baker's twine and a stamped sentiment.

Here are the Illustrator Marker Colors I used:
Linen, Honeydew, Eggshell, Apricot, Smoky Blue, Vintage Blue, Pink Lace, Vintage Pink,

January Spectrum Noir Challenge {Use a Coloring Book Page}

It's a New Year!

We're starting off the year with a new challenge from Spectrum Noir. The theme of the challenge is Anything Goes with the optional challenge to use a coloring book page.

I used a page from the Eastern Promise Colorista coloring book that I had colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. (GG5 GG4 GG3 GG2 GG1 BP4)

I cut the page to make multiple cards with it, I actually made 4 cards and a bookmark all from one coloring book page, these are my 2 favorite cards from the set I made.

This is a super simple way to make good use of all those coloring pages.
