A Special Thank You

Today I am sharing the Thank You card I made for a dear friend. She sent me a lovely Birthday gift earlier this month so of course, I had to make a Thank You card just for her.

I used one of the Eleanor and Pickles images from Lacy Sunshine Stamps. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers  FS1 FS2 FS5 FS9 CR2 EB7 TN7 TN3 CR1 TB9 TB8 TB5 EB3 EB2 BT4 BT2 BT1 CR7 CR9 BG5 BG2 TN8 EB6 DG4 DG3 CG4 CG3 CG2 CG1 DG1

I finished it off with some patterned paper, enamel shapes and a die-cut sentiment.

Creature Comforts

Today I am sharing a card I made with the Creature Comforts stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey.

I love the cute little critters in this set, but I really liked the sentiments that came with it.

I colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

They're Back!!

Look out teachers! They're Back!!

Ah, It's that time of the year. The school buses are back. Pumpkin Spice is back. Mom gets a little more quiet(er) time. Teachers beware- They're Back!

I made this card for Madison to give to her Kindergarten teacher. Can't believe my baby is going to Kindergarten! I'm going to be such a mess after she gets on that bus on Tuesday morning! (Insert sobss here). I am so nervous for her to go! I was pretty OK when her big brother went, but it feels so different with her. I know she'll do fine, but it will take some getting used to.

Anyway, she actually has the same teacher that her brother had in Kindergarten so that's pretty cool. That makes me feel a little better, since we know she has a super nice teacher. So I made her a card to wish her a happy school year and to let her know we were excited about her being Maddy's teacher.

The images on this card are from Mo's Digital Pencil and I got them in the To School Bundle. I think they are just so sweet. I colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, but I lost my color list so I don't have that to share this time.

Coral {Scrapper's Delights New Release}

Today I am sharing a card I made with some of the New Releases from Scrapper's Delights. I used the Mermaid, coral and wooden barrel to create an underwater scene. I also made this into a shaker card with lots of fun little shaky bits inside!

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. The sentiment is from the Scrapper's Delights Circle Sentiments collection.

You can check all the new releases right HERE in the Scrapper's Delights store.

Today I am sharing my last card for the Paper Temptress Design Team. I have loved being a part of this team and love Patricia and her wonderful papers. But some other things came up, so it's time to step down. I will continue to be a loyal customer to the Paper Temptress store though.

On my card I used an image from the Saturated Canary colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. I also used techniques from the Kit & Clowder Hair and Skin class to get the fun, and creepy, zombie look.

Spectrum Noir Colorista Blog Hop

Welcome to your next stop on the Spectrum Noir Colorista Blog Hop, You should have arrived here from Annie's blog

I have been having a lot of fun coloring with the new Colorista range of products. There are new pens and so many great coloring books, some with colorable glitter and foiling. There's also a USB with hundreds of designs to print and color.

I have a few of my colorings to share with you. This first one is from the large Coloring Book, colored with the new Colorista Markers. These markers are really great for coloring in things with tiny details, like this mandala. They have a fine point on one end and a super fine point on the other so you can easily color in the smallest areas.

{A page from the Large Coloring Book. Colored with the NEW Colorista Markers.}

Next I have a card I made with an image I printed from the USB. This one was colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and I added some of the Crystal Clear Sparkle Pen as well. I love that the designs can easily be turned into things like greeting cards.

Flamingo Tutorial With Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers

Hey everyone, today I have a really fun tutorial on the Spectrum Noir Blog. Just click HERE to go to my Coloring Flamingos tutorial.

I had a lot of fun with this image by From the Heart Stamps. It was actually a Freebie image back in May. My oldest daughter loves flamingos right now so I as soon as I saw I just had to have it! And even better, it was free. So fun!

The CR color family of Spectrum Noir markers is the perfect set for getting that salmon pinkish flamingo color.  I colored up quite a few of these little birds for a few different projects.

So go check out my tutorial and have fun coloring up some flamingos of your own.

Hello Beautiful

Scrapper's Delights just came out with a new collection of Paris themed images, and let me tell you, they are so cute! I made a card with one of the bonus images you get by purchasing the  Paris Cafe Bundle. It comes with all of the new images in this collection as well as 2 Bonus images which are exclusive to the bundle.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers (full color list below). I used the Die'sire Edgeables Florence die to cut the top portion of the card out of grey cardstock. I colored over that cardstock with the Sterling Silver Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen. I added some patterned paper, handmade paper flowers, stickers, ribbon and Glossy Accents to finish it off.

Here is a closer look at the paper flowers I made:

Freebie Friday - Sakura Digi 1

Happy weekend. Seems I'm a little late posting the new Freebie Friday from Scrapper's Delights. I was in a little car accident earlier this week and spent the last few days resting and watching lots of Netflix.

No major injuries, just sore and achy. Our van is another story, poor thing is a total loss. But we are all safe and that's all that matters.

Ok, onto a much funner topic- Free Digi Stamps! This time we have Sakura Digi 1. I think she is so cute. I think she would be cute on some Back to School cards, but I just made a Thinking of You card this time.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Markers and used one the Die'sires dies to cut the edge of the card. I added some Stampin Up papers from my stash and finished it off with some ribbon and a sentiment from Unity Stamp Company.

I colored her with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and used the Floral Delights 6x6 Paper Pack. I used a distress tool to rough up the edges  a bit.

Happy Birthday Sophisticated Gentleman & A New Challenge at Spectrum Noir

The new monthly challenge at Spectrum Noir starts today. This month's theme is Anything Goes.

I used the image "Sophisticated Gentleman" from Kenny K to make a birthday card for my brother-in-law. He's always going to breweries and drinking fancy beers, so I think the Sophisticated Gentleman suits him quite well.

I printed the image quite large so it could be the main element on the card. It was colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. I used a faux metal technique on the background paper to make it more manly... or something..

You can enter the Spectrum Noir Challenge HERE with ant projects that features any of Spectrum Noir's products.
