Incy Wincy Designs Pin-Up Girls

There is a new challenge up at the Incy Wincy Designs Challenge Blog this week. Our sponsor for this challenge is Karleigh Sue digis. This was my first time working with this sponsor. The images are fun, but not my usual style.

Esty Store -- Karleigh Sue Digi
Prize:  4 images

Since I was using a different image I decided to make a shaped card and sort of hide the image inside. Totally unexpected when you open the card up.

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers (palette below). I added some Diamond stickle to her "good" wing and the halo. The papers are all from my stash and I embossed the red with a snowflake pattern.

Under The Sea Christmas

There is a new challenge at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog this week with a very interesting theme- Under the Sea Christmas. There are so many great mermaid images at Lacy Sunshine, it was fun to change one up into a Christmas image.

For my card this week I used the image called Oceana and Nigel.

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers (palette below) and I added some red and green Stickles for a little sparkle. I kept the sparkle going with all the glitter cardstock I used on the card. I just love that glittered cardstock! The two patterened papers I used were just from my Christmas paper stash, I think they are by Doodlebug Studio though.

The silver was cut with the Edge'ables Fancy Borders die from Crafter's Companion.

Little Penguin

I'm here with a reminder about our challenge at Scrapper's Delights. As always the theme is Anything Goes but this month we are adding in a twist of ANIMALS. Of course, this twist is just a fun option and any creation featuring a Scrapper's Delights image is welcome in the challenge.

I used the adorable Penguin Willie North Pole image from the Scrapper's Delights store.  I colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers and decided to make it a little different and use a nice pink and blue combination. I kept the card pretty simple with the white embossed background and just a few pops of color with the pink glittered paper and the teal ribbon.

And here is a pin-able color palette as well.

Freckles {Based on Spectrum Noir Tutorial}

On my card today I used the Creating Freckles Tutorial from the Spectrum Noir blog.  The image I used on this card is called Latte and is from Saturated Canary. I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers and added the freckles by following along with the tutorial.

I used some patterned papers from my stash and the thanks was cut out with a die and then I coated in Glossy Accents to make it stand out a little more and give it the look of an enamel embellishment.  I also embossed the solid paper with a heart pattern.

Here is the color palette for this project.

Make Some Music

A new challenge starts today on the Aloha Friday Challenge Blog. The theme is Make Some Music and we are being sponsored by the super cool Kenny K

I chose the Download Diva digi stamp for my card. I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers.

I decided to keep the background simple so I just used some coordinating cardstocks, and embossed some music notes on the black piece. And I finished it off with a little black bow.

Winds of Change {Lacy Sunshine}

So I have some super exciting news to share today! I am the newest member of the Lacy Sunshine Design Team! I am such a huge fan of the Lacy Sunshine images, I was absolutely thrilled when they asked me to join the team.

Our challenge this week is Winds of Change. I chose the image called Emily's Windy Autumn Day and colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers (pin-able palette below). The background papers are from my old Stampin Up stash, along with that green ribbon. I printed the sentiment in the Silhouette Design Studio and also used the Silhouette to cut the leaves and acorns. I embossed the tops of the acorns and think they turned out really cute.

Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight

I just love this cute little bee from Kitty Bee Designs. I used her on a card for my daughter's Preschool teacher. I was so pleased that Miss Judy really loved her card. It always makes me feel good when I know someone really likes my projects. She hung it on her classroom door right away (I kind of feel like a little kid whose picture got hung on the fridge).

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers and added some Stickles to the wings and some Glossy Accents to the glasses and the apple. I used some patterned papers I had picked up this year and used on almost all of my back to school projects. I think these are just so cute!

For the final touches I added some wood veneer ABCs and a little bit of twine.

Bingo at Crafty Gals Corner

This week the challenge is Bingo

Our sponsor this week is:

Nikki Burnette

I used the image from Nikki Burnette called Aelita.

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers. (palette below).  All of the patterned papers are from my Halloween stash.

I cut the spider web border on my Silhouette machine and added a few orange flowers and some black and white Baker's twine. The sentiment is a stamp from Unity Stamp Company.

Rock The 4th Grade

I was a little baffled when I went to make the beginning of the year gift for Zach's teacher this year. You see, he has a male teacher this year. I usually make a cute set of note cards for the teachers but Mr. D just didn't strike me as the cute note card type.

So we settled on a Dunkin Donuts giftcard instead. Of course, I still needed a card to put the gift in. I was lost on what image to use. So I reached out to my Kit and Clowder friends and they all suggested Mo Manning. I had never looked at her shop, but I trusted my Clowdies and they certainly came through for me!

It was hard to decide on an image, but I did eventually. I went with the Air Guitar image.

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers (pin-able palette below). The patterned papers are leftover from last year. I printed and cut the sentiment with Silhouette Studio. I was going to put stars on this, but Mr. D is the science teacher so I thought these little atoms would be more fun, they are also from the Silhouette Studio, as is the Back to School sentiment.  I was really pleased with how this card turned out, especially since it started with me having not a clue what I was going to do.

Here is the pin-able color palette.

Yesterday my brother-in-law got married. They had a lovely wedding, with the cutest flower girls I have ever seen (yes, they were my girls). Of course I had to make a wedding card for them. The colors for the wedding were blue and grey so I used those on my card along with this image from the Greeting Farm.

This image is called Cake Topper Kiss and is from the Greeting Farm.

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir Markers on Cryogen White Cardstock.  (pin-able palette below)

The background paper was from the Silhouette online store, the flowers and lace were from my stash.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

And here are a few pictures from the wedding, there were 6 flowers all together, the 3 in the middle are mine, and one is missing from this photo, it was really difficult to get that all to stand still together.

Anything Goes With Scrapper's Delights

Hey peeps! There's a new challenge up on the Scrapper's Delights Facebook group today. As always, the theme is Anything Goes, but this time there is also an optional twist - animals.

For my project this week I used the Unicorn Jasmine image and made a little key chain with it. My girls love ponies so I made this for my daughter to hang from the zipper on her back pack. The only problem is that I have 2 other girls that now want me to make pony key chains for them too. So I will be making those soon along with a tutorial for you.

I colored the front with my Spectrum Noir markers (colors below) and added some blue stickles to the hair. On the back I just coated it with some crystal glitter and sprayed a sealant over top to keep all the glitter from flaking off.

And here is a picture of the key chain on the back pack.
