Serenity Earthstar and her Happy Dust

Have you seen the new Serenity collection from Polkadoodles? It's so pretty! Full of fairies and pretty pinks.  For my card today I used the Serenity Earthstar image as well as one of the sentiments from the collection.

I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers and then I went a little crazy adding stickles to here. Diamond Stickles on her wings and Pink Stickles in her hair.

And for a change I kept the card CAS. I rarely do that!

Design Team Call

Hey everyone! Now that my Etsy shop is open again, I am looking for a few Design Team members. First off, the link to my shop so you can check out some of the products you'll have the chance to work with:

I am looking for 5-7 creative people who are comfortable working with digital products. I am looking for cardmakers, digital scrapbookers, pocket scrapbookers, basically I would love to have a variety of projects here.

The requirements are:

1. Have an active blog OR Facebook page where you showcase your work
2. Have the ability to work with digital papers, digital stamps, etc.
3. Create 2 projects per month and write a post on the Store Blog once per month
       - One project will be a DT showcase and you can use any product from the store, the other                    project will be for the new releases and you will be required to use a new product of your                    choice
4. Help promote the shop and our products on facebook, instagram, twitter, etc.
5. The term will be for 4 months (July 1 - October 31st) with the option of staying on if all goes well.      I would love for my DT to stay with me as long as possible.
6. Later on we may begin a challenge blog, if we do, projects for that will be optional or done on a           rotation- it will be discussed with the team beforehand.

The benefits are:

1. FREE product for you.
2. Exposure for your blog or facebook page
3. You get to join a fun new team!

A little note about me:

I am a little crazy, ba ha ha. I am a mom of 5 (4 under 4) so sometimes I get "distracted" and might not get a post up on time, etc. Just bear with me on that! I am trying to work and plan ahead as much as I can. The good thing about this is that I TOTALLY understand that things come up, and sometimes despite our best efforts things don't get done on time. As long as you let me know about any late or missed assignments ahead of time, I will work with you. That being said, I have a strict two strikes policy- if you miss 2 projects without letting me know ahead of time you will be asked to leave the team.

So, are you still interested? I hope so! Please e-mail your application to me at with SYL DT CALL in the subject. In the e-mail please tell me the following (feel free to copy & paste)

1. Name
2. Country
3. If you are a cardmaker, digital scrapbooker, pocket scrapbooker, etc.
4. Link to blog or facebook page
5. Why you want to join

If you have been chosen I will be in contact soon after receiving your application! Thanks for your interest and have a lovely week.

All or Nothing With Incy Wincy Designs

This week Incy Wincy is being sponsored by Scribbles Designs.

I was given a really fun image to work with for our All or Nothing challenge.

So for all or nothing we mean lots of layers or no layers at all. I went with 1 layer on my card. It was hard for me to keep it so simple! So I had a little fun with the background on the image and added some googly eyes to all the silly little animals. I think this image is so fun, and this card is bound to make someone smile so I decided to make it into a Get Well card.

The sentiment stamp is from Stampin Up and the chevron border stamp is from Stamp Your Life on Etsy.

Ok, onto my card. I used the Summer Fun Digital Paper pack and the Sandi Boo Collecting Seashells image from Lacy Sunshine.

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers. I distressed the edges of the paper and added some ribbon and homemade enamel dots. The sentiment is a stamp from Unity Stamp Company.

Handyman Dave

Today I am sharing another Father's Day card I made. On this one I used Handyman Dave from Polka Doodles and a really cool cut file from the Silhouette online store.

This card will be for my step-dad, he's always fixing stuff for us. In just the last few weeks he put together 3 new beds for my girls! He's the best'

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers. The background paper is also from Polka Doodles and everything else was from the cut file.

If you're not a member of the Inky Pinkies facebook group yet, check it out. There's tons of Polka Doodles goodness to see over there!

Another Craft for Clearwater

In my previous post I mentioned the party happening at Kit and Clowder this weekend - AND the prizes. Did I mention the prizes? So many prizes, including some from my newest team, Scrappers Delights. I was so excited to get to play with the Beach Babe Image. I think she is just so darn cute! And she really reminds me of my own little beach babe, Madison.

I colored her with my Spectrum Noirs and created the banner and the little fish on the Silhouette.  The fish looked a little boring, but some Stickles took care of that. I also added a few rhinestones to the banner.

I used a new hair color combo on this one and I really like it.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Party and A Special Fundraiser

This weekend there is a huge celebration going on in the Kit and Clowder Facebook Group. Alyce is celebrating reaching 6,000 members in the group! How great is that!? As part of the celebration there is a fundraiser for Clearwater Aquarium. You can get 3 special edition digi stamps here.  And you can use those images to enter contests over in the Kit and Clowder Group.

I was lucky enough to win a guest DT spot for the weekend, so I am sharing my makes with the special images. First up is the "Coralina" image by Yam Puff

I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers and then added some die cuts I made on the Silhoutte and she got lots of Wink of Stella added to her by my daughter.

Next is the image "Winter and Hope" also by Yam Puff.

This was also colored with my Spectrum Noirs and I added some stickles to the bubbles and the bottom of the image. I finished it off with some purple Baker's Twine, a wood veneer and some enamel dots.

And last but certainly not least is the image "Tale of a Tale" by Tiddly Inks.

And, of course, I used my Spectrum Noir markers on this one too. kind of stuck to the same color them for all 3 projects.  I added some ribbon and you can't really see but there are some sparkles in the water.

You can grab these images on the Craft for Clearwater page. And be sure to join all the fun this weekend in the Kit and Clowder Facebook Group. There are coloring competitions for the kids too!

I would like to enter the Tale of a Tail card in the following challenges:

The image I used is called Fruity Baby Citrus. I am also making the decorations for Evie's party- so I happen to know this card will match her party perfectly! I think these little images are just so sweet!

So we'd love to have you join the fun in the Scrapper's Delight Facebook Group!!

A little later I'll be sharing another Scrapper's Delight project that I've created for a special even at Kit & Clowder.

The Great Outdoors with Incy Wincy Designs

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day weekend. My Mother's Day was a little rough with a sick and crabby baby and a crabby for no reason 9 year-old, but we made the best of it.

My girls made me beautiful cards, Sophie took hers back, but that's OK. And we somehow managed to get everyone in the van for a short walk through park which is all I wanted to do for Mother's Day.

But now it's Monday and time to get back to business, starting with the newest challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs. The challenge this week is the Great Outdoors and our sponsor is Sami Stamps.

I just love this sweet image, perfect for Mother's Day too. As usual I colored me image with Spectrum Noirs and used some papers from my stash.

The sentiment is a stamp from Unity Stamp Comapany

Be sure to enter the challenge at Incy Wincy Designs for your chance to win!

In the Garden

The new challenge at Catch the Bug this week is to use the theme "In the Garden" for your project. I love gardening and am so glad the weather is warming up and I can start working on it again. I'm very interested to see if my roses make it back after the terrible winter we had. I really hope they do!

For my card I used two Bugaboo images- JJ Gardening 2 and Garden Cats- Pots. I colored them with my Spectrum Noirs and added a bunch of stuff I cut on the Silhouette. I was having too much fun cutting things out for this one, and it really makes me want to go out in my garden!

Octavia Moonfly

Hey Inkies, today I am sharing my finished Octavia Moonfly from the Kit and Clowder April Create and Learn Class. I used some different colors than what were used in the class and I added a lot of Wink of Stella to the colored image. I kind of love it.

I colored her with my Spectrum Noirs and added some white paint in her hair and for the stars, and of course the shimmer from the Wink of Stella. I cut the frame on the Silhouette machine and added some purple glitter paper underneath. I also created the sentiment banner in the Silhouette Studio and attached that with a glimmer brad.

Here are some close-up images of the project:

You can learn more about the Create and Learn Classes here. And you can visit the Polkadoodles store here. Be sure to check out the Inky Pinkies Facebook page as well, you can find that here

Lacy Sunshine Topsy Turvy

Hey peeps! There's a really fun new challenge happening at Lacy Sunshine this week. It's called the Topsy Turvy Challenge and they want you to take an image for one thing and use it for something completely different.

I used the Eleanor and Pickles Ve Vant Candy Halloween image and made a Christmas card with it. It was really fun to do something so different.

I had to dig out my Christmas stash for this one:

On my card today I used the You Move Me image, available in the Bugaboo Stamps store. I colored this image with my Spectrum Noir markers and all of the patterned papers are from my stash.
